Our mission
Why we show up
Step Up for DC is a community back-to-school celebration hosted by our Capital City Church. Every summer we gather to send DC kids into the new school year with brand-new shoes on their feet. It serves families across our wards who are stretching every dollar in August to prepare for the school year.
Because a kid who feels good walking in walks in ready to learn.
